Do You use original tag when You not play with clan ?
like 90% of times i fakenick. why? simple. Coz i wanna play more and talk less. If i wanna talk i got msn, mIRC etc. Being a total stranger gets you some temporary peace (at least until they realise u fakenick and they all spam you to death to reveal your real id).
What is really annoying are players with names like
warmup
warm
.
-
train
sense
test
rail
music
@whatever
That sucks, because it could be everybody.
On the other hand it's ok for me if players use fakenicks, but always the same, so that you know when you play 2 times against the same player. I do that too, but everyone who knows me realizes that it's me. If it would be up to me, the nicknames listed above should be banned.

I voted for the clan tag & addons coz i sometimes used "@warmup" next to my name. As long as i was DA i never hided myself behind a fake nick, be me play shitty or extraordinary. The whole fakenicking biz started when i left, but that's another story
Haha, and it still continues 8 months later ;d
I don't care what people think about my fakenick, i want to be free to be able to put in it whatever i want (excluding things like "FUCK_YOUR_MOM", "HITLER" etc, of course). If i feel like adding @warmup, or @music, or @dildo next to my nick, why should be it a problem for anyone? Ppl should concentrate more on the game than on the nick....

you are correct, everyone could be "@something"-- it could be @breathing, @lookingoutwindow. The point is, it's pointless. I never understood one person having a million aliases, but whatever-we won't know who you really are anyway.
Pointless? Why there SHOULD be a point in a way someone has his nickname? What REAL difference does it make?
If someone feels good having that @mp3 next to his nick, wtf is the big deal?
i use the @ things for showing i was drunk or something else on that day, u wont see it on a screenshot.
im also fakenicking very much, cuz i seen enough screens im my life look i beat this pro and that pro etc, i dont wanna 'fit' in such categorie.
on the other hand i always use the same fakenicks

not me u simply receive a /tell 2 hi my technoboy
like i said, nothing against that
sometimes i come home, full of stress from work, just wanna play. if i use my reallnick, i cant play really.
"mow this" "mow that" "....", with realnick i have to chat maybe 30-40 percent of gaming time, so, i open my fakeq3 (yes, i installed a separate q3 just for fake) and than i enjoy the silence.

and u get a \tell 2 hi boss we got same problem it seems, might look into that separate fake q3 thing
ah, the hard life of gaming celebrities :blackeye:

It doesn't make any real difference to a person's skill level that day as to whether they are @whatever or not. They are either going to suck that day or not, with or without the @whatever. Therefore, it is pointless to have @anything in your name. If you are going to suck just use your regular name. Have your good and bad days with that name. (not you specifically, ppl in general...) No big deal to having @mp3 next to your name--but it is also pointless. Unless I know what you are listening too, it's pointless to have @mp3. Is that person trying to "look cool?" Not saying you are. Again using the generalized you...
