Logitech G9
dragon im nethier skiny or look like bodybuldier, and i always thought more weight means slower hand acceleration and longer way for stoping mouse, exacly same is with cars
but if u move ur hand 5cm/360deg its like u would feel confortable riding at 100kmh then imagine sutuation someone needs 50cm/360deg i its like 1000kmh in this case, the way of stoping of mouse and make huge acceleration in this case is very huge and every adttional gram on hand slower u down like on kit car

First,to quote this, cause I just saw it,in weight lifting which u can use as comparison cause in both cases u use your hand,u can add more weight once ur muscles are used to a certain weight. So,IMO,in the mouse case ur hand should adjust to that weight and once it does, the movement should feel normal.
I heard on another forum that g9 has a real crappy material for case, and one guy who is a hardcore photoshoper and gamer managed to puncture a hole thru the case with his little finger, whats amazing is that he did the same on a g5 (LOL) but the hole was very small and wasnt spreading,on G9 its starting to spread and grow larger.Anyway, the pics speak more then words...once again,LOL at that guy,I didnt manage to make a hole on my 510 and Im gaming on it extensivly for 3 years

G9 hole:
thats no hole but just the upper layer wearing off.
Interesting, nothing worn off on my 510...and he says those are real holes.
Looks like g9 case is made out of crappy material,he said he made that hole in only 2 weeks of hardcore usage.
Edit: actually, now that I take a closer look I see its not a hole, but a layer of paint...whatever,interesting that I have nothing worn off here, and mouse is arround 3 yrs old.
BUMP
Can somebody confirm that the traction loss experienced in the G5 is gone? I'm getting really tired of the ergonomics of my DA, and looking for a replacement. I saw that Logitech and Microsoft have implemented some new packaging, so you can actually place your hand on the mice and get a feel of it at the shop. Not the same thing as gaming with it for a couple of hours, i guess, and opening the package usually voids the consumer return rights...but at first feel it was nice.
why going for g5 anyways? doesnt mx518 works fine without traction loss, same mousecase and g5 feet?
I actually have the MX518, albeit the first version released with 1600DPI and different mouse feet frome the newer versions. Didn't really get used to it, always had the odd feeling that the sens was somewhat "off". Also to clarify, I meant to ask if G9 does have the same traction loss problems as G5 had. I'm not out to buy the G5.

yea, had the same problem with first version of mx518, but if im right g9 and g5 have different sensors, or?
sorry to gravedig but on a serious note, anyone switched from mx518 to g9 ?? If so, have you noticed any "major" difference to your gameplay?
