Logitech / Razer
wrote:My friend has Creative Fatal1ty 1010 and its very good mouseAre u sure? I didnt see any test where that mouse good positive opinion about sensor. Every where u can read about prob with lost tacking few times stronger than in g5.
and did you have that mouse in hand?
i have genius netscroll +. its one of first optical mouses ever:-) First model by genius. i played on this mouse more than 5 years. Is tru that after 4 years i had to change microswitch for right button but after that it works to nowadays. If i couldnt played on that mouse (shit pad, shit mouse sensor) i bought razer diamondback magma. Iam playing on this mouse more than year. I never had problem with it. Never nothing. I know friends that has logitech shorter time than i have this razer and mouse has broken.
but mouses are only two. Shitty and good. Shitty mouse is for example any genius, cheap and made by unknown company.
good are razer, logitech, a4tech, creative and maybe microsoft habu
Had an MX510 and the buttons died after a few months. Logitech sent me a replacement and again the buttons died. I thought fuck this for a game of three blind mice! I then thought I'd take the next step up to the G5 since reviews were saying how fast and accurate it is. Well, after 5 months the tilt on the wheel stopped working (used that for surfing <>) and a few days (9 months on) ago the left button became intermittent and the mouse began to react slowly or not at all to weapon switching. I have the latest drivers and firmware.
I contacted Logitech today about a replacement but to be honest I want a different brand of mouse - this is NOT a gaming mouse if the buttons die so easily. I have noob buttons! I used to have a Microsoft dirt cheap mouse which I hammered daily for years on UT200X and it never faltered. It was slow but very reliable. Now these thoroughbred mice are sodding pansies!
I was looking at Habu since MS ime makes reliable stuff. This is very much like a G5 inside, eg 2000dpi. However, I looked at some tracking info off a site and it says that the laser mice like G5, Habu, etc., lose tracking much more quickly than the MX518 which they crown as tracKING! Fine, but the buttons don't last! So, it's Habu.
If you're thinking of getting a Habu, check out the Razer Deathadder.. Same shape with a much better sensor.
@BBCmicro:
I really dunno what u were doing with those mouses to get them broken so easily. My mx510 buttons were slammed, and the mouse itself has fallen at least 10 times in first month cause i had some wire position problems cause of desk and i would always accidently pull the wire down which slammed the mouse with fast speed on the floor, from 1 meter height...the point is,it still works like a charm to this day. So,braking 3 mouses in such short period? Sometimes the problem lies in the user :]
I've bought a4tech x-710f last saturday. I really woun't expect more from ouse. It works just how I wanted. +great price
Just waiting for the deathadder to appear in shelves here. It'll take unneccessarily long and cost like $10-20 extra, but I support local dealers.*
* Translation: Am a lazy ass and don't want to order stuff online. Not only is the ordering process a hassle, the post office is in fact about 20 steps further away than the electronics store aswell.
sweden's so technically advanced u have to go pickup deliveries from the post office?
I know not of this Sweden you speak of. Here in the North Pole we care only for ourselves, our seals and our polar bears.
since i have a computer i use Logitech ,
and i had never problems with logitech mouse/keyboard.
i use right now a MX310 its 2 year old and it works very fine.
