First off all sry for double post iff there are one topic like this one! could not find it all though i think there are one simillar one
I just wonned 2 hear wich off guys & Girls have Flat monitor in that case what MS ? I hade one bran new flat screen whit 5ms and it was impossible 2 play whit! well i am lying now not impossible but you could feal the lag or how i explain this. hmm so is the 2ms flat good on this mod Quake and how good 2 you think it works! i have planed 2 buy one new Flat once again but i am afraid that i will be dissapointed like i was on the 5ms that i had only couple off hours and then sold it straight away 
any reviews off your monitors would be helpfull.
I Wonder..
What bran,
Size, etc should i go for??
What monitor would you guys & Girls go for iff you buy new one?

I have a viewsonic VA2026w
20" widescreen
5ms delay
Coming from a CRT I was like, wtf is this shit? (plus it was widescreen which was weird)
after about a week or 2 I adjusted and I switch between CRT/LCD screens fine
It would probably be ideal to use a CRT however you will adjust to the "very small" delay on the LCDs. Of course you always want to get the fastest video response possible. I like what I have now and it gamed just as well as a CRT imo. 5ms is very minimal. I think you made a mistake by only keeping it a few hours, it is a different experience until you adjust (just like a mouse ie how it grips, moves, etc)
Size? that is up to you however keep in mind that your eyes can only take in so much in reliable yet comfortable manor. Obviously a 30inch screen would be overkill.
I only have experience with Viewsonic however the few LCDs that I have bought from them have worked great for gaming.

i have samsung syncmaster 226cw it has 22" and 2ms reactions
it rox for gaming cause of the nice contrast etc
at my other home i m still having a crt and to be honest..i play on the tft better than on the crt 
so tfts arent that bad nowadays
especially mine is a really great one

i have samsung syncmaster 2243nw (22" 1680x1050 resolution). widescreen is really good for q3. Samsung makes really good panels. Try it

i got ASUS 221MW 22" 1680x1050 resolution wide-screen 2ms response time, feels great after some crappy Sony thing with 8 ms, but imho try to find some 20'' CRT professional monitor, maybe not new but cheap and would be much better then any LCD ever made...

Samsung 932BF 2ms - no lag what so ever,at least i dont feel any and i switched from CRT to this monitor immediatly without any problems.

I use LG 19" L196WTQ-WF 2ms and i'm happy with it, since it was pretty cheap Compared to a crt there is some ghosting, but barly noticeble.
I think you can buy almost any 2ms lcd today and still get adequate result!?

K guys! consider it done! i have finally made the desision
Well i picked upp the phone and I made few phone calls and i gott my hands over one 19 or 20 it was dont remember 19-20 inch CRT Monitor for 40 euros (: the other CRT that costs 100 euros was gone loong time ago but does not matter i made one HELL off better deal this time yes you read right 40 euros only for the 19-20 CRT Monitor. I will have it home deliverid tomorrow raped in flower paper hopfully heheh so hopfully this will do i mean CRT is CRT now i should not be disapointed and iff i will then i will take the bat and smash this monitor in pices I will post an Full review off this monitor bran etc and what i think about it gaming whit Quake etc! dont think no 1 will care but what the hell i post anyways.

Damn this monitor will take much room on the computer desk time 2 through out all the shit that i dont need on the desk and re enforce the table mabey hehe (This will be BIG & Heavy)

Yeah it seems that this Samsung is a leader off screens evry pro player that i have talked 2 says the same. Use CRT iff you want the best iff you must use an flat some prefer an Samsung all though the prefer this CRT as Nr1 yeah iknow this is an ideal 2 use.
Yeah iknow this Doctor THX well i gott one offer on 20 mabey it was an 21 inc CRT for only 100Euros but i think it is only 50 - 70 hrtz and i dont know what resolution i can play whit highest hrz on havent done any researsh hmm still thinking about this CRT but hey imagen how BIG place this will take on the Computer table
