quake 3 opengl?
it looks good ^^
it looks good ^^
I think P_|¯Y meant that she wants her screen to look as good as that screenshot.
------------------------
Q3 already uses OpenGL
TRANCE * I<[] had a good suggestion with the screen refresh rate but I would set it lower (72 - 85 Hz) than he recommends. Also, regardless of the screen resolution of your laptop, I would run Q3 at 1024 x 768.
As a precaution ensure that you have the following settings in Q3:
Color Depth = 32 bit
Lighting = Lightmap
Geometric Detail = High
Texture Detail = Furthest Right
Texture Quality - 32 bit
Texture Filter - Trilinear
Finally, Q3 doesn't need Antialiasing or Anisotropic filtering turned on in the nVidia Control Panel (CP). These can have a negative impact on your framerate, especially since you are using a laptop (I assume you don't have an Alienware laptop) . In fact, the CP allows you to have application profiles specifically for many games including Q3 and Q4.
Texture Detail = Furthest Right
= r_picmip 0
lololol?
anyways. if u want q3 to look good, try getting gq3.cfg. somebody posted it somewhere here in the forums. try searching. if u dont find it pm me. it'll make q3 look as good as it can. (btw all this "can i get q3 opengl" is not gonna get u any closer to making q3 look better). altho i have to warn u, unless u have a really good system, playing on a high gfx config is gonna fuck up ur fps.
nope, stable 125 on best quality on 1600 x 1200, 8 x aa (yes, i made a new config, no picmip anymore, ftw), my system is in my sig
u have a 2000 E system u lucky fuck. . i was talking about poor folks like me.
Tried shadows (like cg_shadows 2 or smth) and r_dynamicLight(s?) 1.
The shadows and lights make it look more 3d-ish.
You don't happen to have r_ignorehwgamma set to 1 do you, because in my experience, it tends to make the screen greyer...
Well you can try nomiping it. Or if you don't need to play on pure servers, you could get one of those low explosion packs, heard a lot of e5ers use em so ask out for them on an e5 server?
Its a dell XPS M1710, ehr i didnt notive any alienware stuff you've been saying, the graphicdriver is Nvida geforce Go 7900 GTXIt sohuld rendering the graphics pretty good eheh.
ooh good thing you notify the refreshrate. i had it on 120 and hehe it kinda overheated the screen and sometimes gave motiontrails weird. well i've changed it to 75, with a forceoverride and it works perfeclty.
Hm at the moment i posted the screen, i had this setings
everything was exact the same except texture filtering. i aint notice any diff when changing it.
this is what i got anyway
And FYI.. im not a she im a he.
You know when its psyen (:
