Graphyc bug + error message, loading next map
Hi, i was playing one map on retro ffa, and while the next map was loading, i had the usual graphyc bug that show the loading map picture, mixed with random graphyc of prev map and next map.
I classify this bug in 3 type:

The Ring
FiReWorKs!
Usually with a reconnect all seems solved, but this time without do nothing the game crashed and i had this in "blue" console.

well i had a similar problem on beer freezer sometime ago, and since i re-installed Q3 and got a new cfg all is fine it doesnt happen no more.(lol them screens are crazy)
so it could be new install of q3 needed / some kind of setting in cfg / something i dont know about
im sure someone will have the solution for you my friend

look like visceral tearing mean you graphic card could be dying or geting to hot
On a server with version 2.1 of E + is a bug - when loading the next map shows some of the players old map, but they are in a new one. It looks like this so you run around outside the map - in the air, through walls. Other players see you That is shifting the coordinates respauns. Very strange effect which I have not seen ever before.
It seems this bug is present in version 2.1 because version 2.0A do not.

I experienced this bug myself some days ago on the Vanilla! CTF server.
After a match was finished the next map in the rotation (q3ctf4) was loaded and everyone except me spawned in valid places. I spawned far outside of the map right somewhere in space. The other players could see me, I could see them, but I couldn't move. Only way to get out (or better: in) was to quit and reconnect.
any problem with openGL, update ur video driver.
Or roll back to stable one.
Or use ioquake with r_allowsoftwareGL 1
Thx for answer, but tbh i've formatted and reinstalled windows, installed quake 3 again with all patches pb etc 1 week ago.
