Make new .ents files for default maps ?

Hi,

I was wondering what ppl think about changing the way we play in the standard maps q3dm*, q3tourney*, q3ctf*.

The objective is to have same .ents files unified for all e+ servers

Some could want :

    0 Arrow No changes at all

    1 Arrow new spawnpoints (example of dm17 that has really few spawn points, we could make some in the air Big grin(really interesting))

    2 Arrow new flags in q3dm* and q3tourney* (for ctf, rtf and oneflagctf)

    3 Arrow new items (instead of making this in the config such as plusN)

    4 Arrow new locations (to fit better with new items locations)

    5 Arrow different action instead of death/jump/teleport (i have noticed in some servers that they have transformed the bottom void of dm17 into jumpers)

    6 Arrow new map music (even if all disables it)

As votes aren't effective most of the time for this kind of multi-choices, pls post here your votes and add comments.

Later if community accepts it, it should be added in next e+ version

people are pretty used to the roomnames already.

1, but since i'm mostly a 1 gametype guy (ctf) this is an important one
specific maps, only allow spawns in the flagroom which is a trouble sometimes
and even some, barely have any in the flagroom at all (q3wcp1 especially)

I agree with you, but the fact we had issue on plusN to tell teammate Go Battlesuit room when it has originally Rocket room in dm7 as example.
it means instead of a bind : go $location
we have many binds for each item Worried go Red, go quad, etc...
and you have to find the right key for each say_team situation (not easy).

my votes 1,2,3,4,5,6

1.new spawns ? FTW!

2. im not a ctf guy but i think that moving the flag places would totaly change the fast-movement ways you use to get/bring the flag to the base.

3/4 i would love to see new tactics being made. For example: what if @dm11 the BS would be in the Medkit place ? Big grin and so on .. i like the idea

5. new ways to make a map harder and more intriguing to be played

6. i dont use music. But for newcomers this can also be a way to get new ppl into e+ ( E+ need New Comers not only noobs that are shouting: "the end is near" and "i will die now.. noooo")

im dont want to change something on standart maps. because if im playing in osp/e+/ql, im know where is must be respawn of the enemy, and if some1 willl add in the standart maps a few new respawn its will irritate me a bit. i will know in e+ that someone may to respawn from a backs and will kill me like an rat. Sad f2 too for the new locations.. about flag/items/music im dont care so much.
