Pure and clean Quake III Arena

Hello guys.

I just got out of work (sux) and now Im consedering to start play quake again but i have small issue.

I need help whit one thing here, My original Quake CD is broken and i cant install new fresh copy of quake. I have found different torrent sites whit download of this game np, but im little unsurted about the context in it.

Can some of you guys post pics here about how the folder looks like pure, pb, etc. I dont trust theese download torrents. i want to check the folders before i start to playing so evrything is in order.

From official id software ftp you can download installer for 1.32 quake 3
ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/quake3/win32/q3pointrelease_132.exe
next you can download 1.32c patch from that same official ftp
ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/quake3/quake3-1.32c.zip
Next you need to download from google pak0.pk3 file and put it inside of your baseq3 folder.

Last step is to download e+ mod and maps Winking

I heard that you can instal qIIIa from steam too. Kszksz can tell you more probably, he adviced someone to do so.

Edit: Benek already wrote above, sorry, you have to pay to do it via steam but maybe you dont have to if you have own cd-key..

heres some screenshots of my install from steam. only added few maps and made my cfgs, these u can ignore. i've highlighted the files i think you'll need. though if u pirate it, any cheats might be in the exe itself, but i dunno about this stuff, so just mentioning from what i've heard years ago Big grin

im not too sure on the way of setting up pb, google usually helps me get the files i need for it since i couldnt find anything useful for this game on the evenbalence webasite. the entire folders only 5mb, so once installed i could upload it somewhere if u need. lol
