Verify q3 original .pk3 files
Hey there,
Thought i would share this little proggy with you guys.
It's very tiny (about 6.5kb) and it checks if the 8 .pk3 files are correct using a simple crc32 checksum.
Copy it to the same location as quake3.exe (or ioquake3.exe) and run it.
It will pop up with a little message window of how things went.
It's attached to the post, but here is a Rapidshare link:
http://rapidshare.de/files/40808493/q3pak_verify01.rar.html
EDIT: The checksum returned might not be a true crc32 checksum, but if you get a wrong checksum then your file IS faulty!
WORLD END
Where have you been for past 2 years?
hehe
crc sum of original pak0.pk3 is 43665d07 not C6554324.

but it doesnt change fact it shows the file is not valid.
