Weapon damage - delay
Hi, i'm posting cuz are 3 weeks that i don't play like i would, especially for this:
I see that others can see me before and i don't understand the action cuz my shot would hit somebody but i don't have the time to turn the mouse right or left ( i do it, and i press fire, but it's a NULL action ).
What i would say is that if i walk in map seems all good, but when the enemy is around i see "scene" from my side, and in the moment i'm being killed the scene change, and i see/hear my hit before the enemy, and the mark of rail on wall perfectly where the enemy was. Or i shot a bfg, i'm going to die, and magically BFG become transparent, invisible, it stop itself but i hear the sound "chuff!".Result? Now I die i know..
You could think that it's connection problem,but only in little part, cuz i played with 96-108-120-140-250, and 15%-40% loss sometimes and nothing change! i'm making some tests next days it's 1 month that i can't frag, so i'm not talking random .
I don't know what to invent anymore :\
It happened yesterday on banana that 1 moment i saw the enemy in front of me, and without see and hear sounds ( the shene where he shot me, the death video scene is skipped) i find myself specting the next player ._. .
Before, i was @ beer.freeze, here u can see the example picture, 2 enemies in front and me that shoting with bfg-lg(olding it more seconds over it should kill)-shotgun-bfg-lg without give damage or kill at least 1 of them:
This evening i tryed to play a little fw and style was watching me( he made a visit @my home), he saw a bfg that should full hit me it trepassed me, disappeared and magically an explosion far fro me, killed me too late , and we laughed at that. Mb can chose the direction of grenades after bfg splash?
Anyway, why that bfg can kill me (in the same room) while 2 direct BFG + splashes can't kill 1 of 2 enemies at least in a little space!?
Atm i'm waiting to change connection, but it isn't only this the cause.
Somebody has something like this?

The new mod is a mess, animations are beyond f*cked. Projectiles are now unlagged which makes for some really odd frags and misses, especially when highpingers are involved. Secondly rockets are now heatseeking in plusN (I'm not kidding) so there is really no way to track and dodge them anymore. Couple all this with the messed up physics denying any exact movement.
Now for the config part, SG, MG, BFG, Grenades and LG are next to useless compared to plus. Which is ironic considering the aim of the cfg, but I guess it's no surprise since the author only plays railonly. The rest of us are left with...yeah.
Not that it necessarily has anything to do with the probelms you are experiencing.
Mircwar, 1 thing, u r good with mona, and u r good with camel, so you have the ressources of two popular servers if u talk with them. Talk about what? Well, I suggest you try to create a new config, you can also name it plus.cfg I guess or name it common.cfg or whatever u have an idea for it . Do the config the way you imagine it, and maybe, who knows, people like it.
Camel could help you to do the config in the way you think it should be, he has experience, than, mona and camel could help to put the config on beer and aim server, the 2 most popular servers of this kind in e+.
I mean, this could be the end of your endless complaining and it could be that u and laktos and more like to play more again.
1 thing i totally agree with you is, the mod is over-unlagged, it is so much unlagged that the animations are too far away of reality. While u see ur self hitting the enemy you get actually killed by him. This means not a difference of just a few ms, i speak about arround 400 - 600 ms false optical information. For sure this mean that highpingers have the possibility to play close to 0 ping with hitscan weapons, but they had this possiblity also already in 1.02b, and there the animations where not so far away from reallity, even i experienced such situations also already in 1.02b, but never so strong and obvios as in the current version.
I really believe that a cfg from you could be pretty cool, so in my post is no sarcasm.
And i never saw easy or beast posting about this issue, and never heard a clear oppinion from them about my last paragraph.
Other solution, just turn off unlagged , for me its no problem, since my ping is <40 on most servers
with that packetloss you can forgett playing :[ u might try cl_packetdup (up to 5) but i guess it wont matter, since the problem is elsewhere in your connection. (is it sattelite wtf? )
about config issues, if you really want to create a new conf mirc, u might buzz me for my oppinion. (ps: lg is far away from being useless)
about unlagged projectiles, actually they are an unfair advantage for highpingers by the way they work.
I had some problems but was like:
for example i see the enemy more fast than he see me and i shot with rail (i hear rail shot) i dont see it on enemy...and enemy shot more fast than i shot him...sometimes i see also the rail but nothing happens...enemy still shot more fast than i...some miliseconds...
also...yesterday in beer and banana...i shot with rail and rail trail was in middle of the enemy...and go thru him...sad i dont have demos of this two magical situations....but was realy anoying for me...as this happens to me when i shot not in center of enemybody...but in leg or head or just in hitbox..and nothing happens : ] i must shot in middle of his body more often than in other parts as if i shot in other parts..many times nothing happens >:(
i have not lost packets...conection ping 100...and im getting tired of seen this many times and be killed because of this s***...as i know i press the button attack and hear rail see rail...but nothing happens : )

but since plusN doesn't have rocket style WPS_ROCKET_HOMING set, rockets are actually not heatseeking, are they?
ps: i suggest xp_delagweapons 0
xp_unlagged = 204 (server setting) leaves unlagged hitscans only, and other weapons are not unlagged (step back to 1.03)
I thought that "homing factor 0,3" meant that it was engaged. If it doesn't, then it's the unlagged projectiles making dodging unlikely. Mow, fair suggestion. What I wanted to say with my critique was that 1. He asked for opinions and when he got it he was extremely reluctant to change anything 2. During the whole time, I saw him on the public server that runs his cfg once - most of the problems with the cfg would be obvious if someone took the time to play a packed public game (preferably on a decent computer...)
