Detailed explanations on mirc and quakenet

Ok so first off u must set mIRC to auto-join your channels and to automatically authenticate u so you won't have to type each time /j blabla and /msg q@cserve bla bla How to do this?

1. Open mIRC

2. Click on options (surrounded with the red circle)

3. Once the box has opened go to Connect -> Options -> Perform. A new box will appear like this:

4. Inside the box type exactly what you see in the 2nd attached image above and don't forget to select "Enable perform on connect" !

5. Now to make a q account. First of all change your nick to something that does not have characters like ^_`'-. It must be a pure nickname smth like "tranceh". If your nick is already taken there is no problem u can change nick to "marcuz" or "hqq" or "drivv". But you must remember this nick that you are going to use now for future logins. When you have a "clean" nickname type:

/msg q hello (yes 2 times your e-mail address)

You will receive an e-mail with your password. Once you have that password type:

/msg auth [username] [password] (without the [ ])

where username is the nick that u just used (hqq or marcuz drivv etc) and password that you just received on e-mail.

Now you have to change your password to something more easy because quakenet sets as default some very complicated passwords. To do this type:

/msg NEWPASS oldpassword newpassword newpassword

6. Go back to step 4 and inside the perform box change the values of [user] and [pass] from "msg auth [user] [pass]" with your username and password.

Now you are all set, each time u load up mIRC, it will automatically login you and join the needed channels.
