not really, cause if you also change the files inside pak3, you wont get pass pure. all files inside pks are checked on q3 run, thats the big list in the console when you run it.

afaik, though.

also, vanguard, if you worry about people making fake pk3s, they can get all this info by examening their own q3, so no point in hiding the info.

@ casa: if you want to check your q3, ask some server owners to allow you to connect on their servers when pb and pure are on. tell them you are not sure of your q3 install. im sure they will be willing to help you out.

well.. i gave u the links to show u, that there is more that enough topics with cheater reports... i cant understand why ppl so badly wanna make excessiveplus mod, to look like a "cheater mod.."
Maybe im alone in this but i feel like all that fuzz bout cheaters here on forums should be done in background by srv admins/owners.

i even got idea how it could be done, i can setup a forum, to which only server adminsl would have access, and only there ppl would post proofs of cheating, without discusion. "he did cheat or he didnt...."

imo its better than making those topics here, e+ site should be representative, and now it only presents "cheaters raports"
