as introduction i will tell u what settings i do use, mices were tested on qck+ and usb rate 500Hz beside that in q3 i do use
in_mouse 1 and in_mouse -1
sensitivity 50cm per 360degres
m_yaw 0.0011
m_pich 0.0011
cl_mouseAccel 1.0

for test im used mouseware drivers 9.80 (setpoint does not detect mx500)

most anoying thing about u should know if u plan to play on that mice its thier negative accelaeration, it so bad that im must used twice more positive accelaration in q3 seetings but still it does felt like somthing is just simply wrong with sensitivity feel [watch demo] when on IE 3.0 u need realy quick move to see that, on mx500 u do fell it all the time Confused

dont be afraid of that bug, but u must remember about changing by aditional advenced logitch tool mouse behavior from precysion to speed, when u do aply changes u will get rid that nasyt problesm that mouse has, dont iven try to play on 'precysion' mouse behaior [watch scren]

after tweaking it mouse has smoth and sharp moving of pointer and good sensitivity feel

im dosent know a mouse wich im arent able to make lost traction by moving it quick but to do that trick im need 90cm per turn sensitivity couse in normal circumstences, i do play at 50cm per turn and mx500 does not losing traction while i do play on 50cm per turn with very fast hand moving, when im was playing at 60cm per turn somtimes hapened it was losing traction but that was hapening much less than it has place on G5 or deathadder on 50cm per turn, so u see... im did fixed that also by piling down side of mouse a bit [see pictures] after that tweak problem wanished Smug

surface grip wrote:

it is not so good an impregned plastic with help of sweat lose his grip same quick as it hapens on IE 3.0, top surface grip is less than mx510 mx518 and deathadder offers, side surface is the same as on mx510 or mx518 has not bad grip defenitly beter than a IE 3.0 has or deathadder, i do know that they might made it much beter but it defenitly ofer the best grip betwen all mouses im sill wonder if G5 with more sharp facture of sides is beter than mx510/mx518 or it is deferent

shape wrote:

after spending around month with IE 3.0 when im puted yesterday mine hand on mx500 im feelt it unconfortable on right side of mouse, the shape of both mice on right side is way deferent, when yors hand lay on IE 3.0 yors two smalest fingers lay more on mouse and u have there nothing on a mouse to help catch it beter and on mx500 u have profile for these fingers when they are under that brust u hold mouse very good it might fell for some hours bit unconfortable but when u get use to it yors hand moves quicker than on IE 3.0 couse u had much more beter grip of mouse than eny other mouse shape box ofers, the mx series ofers good mouse hold thanx not only brust on left side wich is easy noticable and also wery good planed for a finger but couse the right side profile, overaly its a mouse with best control on the market

buttons wrote:

buttons works very good by tiny step but not as that light as on razers mouses, im find them just perfect, if u feel that step on them is to big u can easly fix that, just open mouse unmout top buttons and pull them down, defeom a bit thier shape, bend them down, but not to much couse when u close yors mice buttons might be presed all the time. then u have perfect working front buttons very light and good work Happy

side buttons aret planed to good couse im not able use both of them, im able to push only the button closer to wrist, they stand out alitle bit of the box wich make easier way of using them and fealing on box, i realy like this buton on right side Smug

wheel wrote:

wheel is good inaf to use it as button3 and pull them as mwheelUP or down but im use only mwheelUP couse somtimes when i had also bind on mwheelDOWN there was hapening uncontroled swiching betwen up and down posytion due to very fast weapon swiching. if u still think that the step is to light u can realy easy fix that problem, iven more if u think that click on wheel is to hard u can also fix that very easy,

just open mouse unmout wheel mechanism and there u have two springs, one control hardnes of click secons hardnes of wheel step, squish&bend and defeor them to have less or more hard wheel work, also remember about puting alot lubricant on wheel step spring and inside of wheel teeth it will make wheel work more corect

im did forget about important thing, mx500 has inside extra weight madet out of stell, i do prefere lighter mices couse mine hand moves then quicker Smug and im these kind of person why simply dont understand why they added weights to G5 they are ules and in mine sytuation landed in trash, lighter mouse=faster hand and beter precysion. u can do exacly the same thing with aditional weight in mx500 just open mice and one screw more holding weiht, throw it out and go to gym if u need workout Smug
