@hell, yea u can run a program for the other WINDOWS os's, just right click the exe > Propeties > compatibility then just choose the os u want to run it for (idk abt the other os's but im pretty sure it'll only work on xp)

I very much disagree,because Microsoft has set very strange default values for some things in XP,like for example "WaittoKillApptime" or the wait time to kill (end) a application so u have to tweak most of the stuff yourself,if u were a XP user u would know that there are millions of tweaks out there that can be done for XP,and by doing most of them xp will be at least 5 times faster then that piece of crap Millenium...and PnP is not the only reason beelieve me...its about software/hardware compatibility,stability and yes I am also gonna say speed.And since we're allready talking about speed Windows 98 second edition is/was the fastest of them all.
