Who was your choice?
His choice of Sarah Palin as his VP was one of his biggest mistakes. She is simply inexperienced, and would have been a terrible replacement for what could have been the oldest person to be elected president.
But basically, he is a republican, and voted with Bush more than enough for me to believe with him as president, it would have been more of the same.
There was simply no way a republican candidate would emerge victorious after the last 8 years.
Of course there's a way...are you forgetting there was vote halfway through those 8 years?
On a side note, I think I ventured to McCain's wiki article at the wrong time:
Are you kidding me, McCain is in no way, ever going to be suited for
a president. Are you.. omg, i mean, i can't believe intelligent people
would actually vote for him.
McCain is an idiot, i think he's worse than Bush, wich i didn't know it
was possible.
In my honest and no regret opinion, if America votes for McCain,
i will lose the respect i have left for U.S. , it will only show, how
race is still such a big issue there and it doesn't matter who tells
what story and what his motives are. McCain hasn't shown 1 thing
that would make him suited for being a president, but he is suited
to go to the "institution for the elderly" or "nursing home" ( i forgot
the word ).
Anyway, imo the only good candidate was RON PAUL, but because
the media refused to cover him, because the media is controled by
the politicians, he was pushed back.
If you Youtube him, you will see there is alot on RON PAUL there.
I would love to have him as my president, with no fear of what going on with the country!
Don't take it personal or anything, but it is my honest opinion!
Regards, Oxide!
None of the Above
republicans can sug kuk aight?
Not saying Obama is the perfect man, but he was the better choice imo. McCain even being totally different from Bush would still have had to support his party's political views, which during the last 8 years have been proven to be, uhm...retarded?
Maybe now, under Obama, I can regain some respect for the USA...Hope he will not let everyone down.
Change needed a face, they just found someone adequately charismatic and minority'ish enough to fit the bill. I don't doubt either of those guys have qualifications enough - fuck, compared to Bush, a dead fish has qualifications enough - but the turn of tables had to come. I can't even fathom what kind of a mindfuck for everyone would be if McCain had won.
Now, yeah, the media made a circus out of it - Obama isn't going to wank at his desk and conjure a better country out of nothing. If he has a plan, it will take a long time to even start fixing things. Let's not forget what sort of a mess he's falling headfirst into, the gargantuan market crisis, Russian tensions, managing troops and situation in Iraq and middle-east in general, and all the other fun stuff.
Time will tell, but if Obama fails, it will be because of the hilariously overhyped expectations.
Obama
F1 of course.
No offence taken.
But I can't see anything that would make Obama a better candidate intelligence/not-being-an-idiot wise though. Looking at McCains policies, history and record he is far from a simple brute - he would not be a Bush nr.2 IMO. A far cry from the landslide win that is being portrayed people still opted not to find out though ; - ) Concerning U.S. political and military allies around the world this was the worst outcome imaginable I guess.
As for the black-white vote thing - I find it equally sad that people voted for him because he is black (although I understand the basic reasoning behind it) as if people would've voted against him based on the colour of his skin.
