New Map shots

Here are some shots from a map i'm working on it should be released soon. This however is a taste of things to come.

Many areas do not have proper or any lighting.

Right now i am concerntrating on reducing the r_speeds (the performance of the map) and finishing the lighting plus fixing the odd detail.

Re: New Map shots

Yes i may well make a night and day version, as for the moment the level is completely inside but the lighting is unfinished quite afew areas of the map are well black. Happy Torches spawning ? Happy not a bad idea. thier will be more light. I think the lack of it at the moment tho does kinda show off the bits which are lit which is why i partly took the pictures.

I do want the level to be fairly dark and Erie with long shadows and such but more light than their is now. I might even try to make shafts of day light from from the ceiling (once i work out how to do that Happy )

Anyways Ive being working on this level for alot longer than my others i hope it brings a lot more than the others. but i took these pictures because im almost down to the bitty gritty in terms of making it and its taking its time so i wanted to see what people thought of it b4 i release the actual map. And also drum up some enthusiasm Happy Tongue

and sorry even for an Englishman my English is not perfect. Happy

Re: New Map shots

ahhh i have just got back from err somewhere else Happy but any ways i was veiwing this pics on anther screen and realized that my screen is a brigthveiw multi colour thingy screen. anyways because of that it makes my tonal range alot brighter and clearer compared to a normal screen so i will adjust the lighting to suit more normal screen otherwise all the lighting i do will be darker than i actually realize which is not good.

also i will try my best to put shafts of light in Winking

Re: New Map shots

lololo i could release the map however it is still largly incomplete and depending on how much free time i have will be release sooner or later. however i will release to private partys (beta) soon once im happy with the majority of the level (beware i'm a perfectionist!) Happy

here is a level shot

as you can see Ive added trim and extra lighting but the other parts of the level are not done and i plan to revisit this room again to finish off that back wall you see is a bit plain. ofc if you like to see everything you can switch on ye old fullbright but its very ugly Tongue.

Nice shot, I am getting a bit excited! Happy If you need testers, send me pm. Oh and it would be really really cool if you would add only high-res textures in case you're going to use custom textures. Modern graphics cards can handle it easily! Big grin
