On the topic: Farange is a name as inseparable with British Politics as the [s]Tea Party[s] Green Party to the US presidential race. UKIP doesn't really have any roots at all within British Politics, and is no more than a fringe party (Farange himself finished like third overall in his constituency while running for Member of British Parliament, gathering less than 5000 votes). British politics are going through a somewhat quiet period anyway. Milibands are quarelling, Cameron is losing popularity at a rate even Gordon Brown would scoff at, while the Lib-Dems, despite a quick pre-election revival have been fucked for the next 40 years by Nick Clegg's backtracking over uni fees issue. GUESS WHO WILL BE THE NEXT GENERATION OF VOTERS AFTER THEY GRADUATE AND WHAT MEMORIES OF THE LIB-DEMS THEY WILL HAVE.

In terms of controversial (and potentially batshit insane) Politicians, one should not look further than the America's own G.O.P. The latest batch of 2011 medicare-hating public officials is just the latest wave of the last 20 years. One senator proposed putting Ronald Reagan on the 100$ bill for fuck's sake.

However, while most of the picture-perfect smiling neonates of the National Bush Party have nothing on this man, the leader of the Russian Liberal-Democrat Party, Vladaimir Zhirinovskiy. (this man came third in last week's Russian presidential election, with around 7million votes)

Speaking of the G.O.P., anyone here paying attention to the Republican (and Democratic lolol) Primaries? I only have one comment before the party convention: (they do say a picture says a 1000 words)

The most insane thing about the republican primaries is the fact it's a quadro-annual symptom. It gets retardedly insane, people kiss hands and shake babies, life goes on. One of the republicans will have to go against an Obama who is

1) despite the popular consensus and random turnbacks on opinions has got a 4 year track record of turning the USA into a raging, xenophobic redneck country

2) has the full, unopposed suport of the Democratic party in the primaries (while the winner of the reupblican party will emerge a bloody victor of uncommited delegates, Obama has to give key appearances in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Houston in order to keep the donations sweet.
