After being forced to upgrade to sp3 i was panicking. I don't think I'm alone in feeling that the sens is completely changed and feels off (maybe someone can confirm that this is infact accel). Neither the CPL mousefix nor the one posted at razerblueprints felt as spot on as during sp2.

Anyhow, I dug up Anir's accelfix.exe which completely kills accel in windows and in theory should give you 1 to 1 movement (I guess mouse drivers etc add their own form of accel)

Hey Mircwar, thx for sharing this app, but it doesnt seem to be working for me Sad

I downloaded it from ur link, extracted the folder to desktop, double clicked on install... Says "started successfully, press any key", then as soon as i press, it disappears... Thought maybe it needs some time, gave it 5-10 mins but nothing happens, click again.. it says "already launched" or smthn like that :roll:

Maybe im doing something wrong ? Any tips would be appreciated Happy

Looks like you are using in_mouse "-1". Use modern clients with raw mouse support (which are not affected by any windows mouse settings) or try to rollback to sp2.

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!

Hmm, i am using in_mouse "-1", because "1" had a problem with my g5 on 1000hz... But i didnt use 1000hz for long, in fact not using a g5 anymore, but i see no reason to change in_mouse, already used to "-1", unless theres something wrong with it ?

Dont know what u meant by modern clients... Something like logitech setpoint maybe ? Well even with the option "use setpoint implementaions" enabled i still felt windows accel until i removed it with this accelfix. But that was in sp2... Like Mirc said nothing, exept for the app he posted, seem to work in sp3. But i cant get it to start Straight face

The last option would be to roll back to sp2 i guess, only question is how ? Big grin Really didnt know it was possible... And are there any side-efects ? Already screwd up my windows once, dont want to do it again Laughing

Kalash there are some drawbacks to using -1, try moving your mouse a set distance on your mousepad back and forth. You will see you won't end up turning the exact distance in game (i.e. 180 degrees). That said, I use it. Cyrax, is using in_mouse 1 independent of eventual windows accel? The app should be working fine as it injects at each startup and you should notice quite a difference in game. Make sure no antivirus software is removing it as malware. I think this is the patched version I upped, but you can try applying it in safe mode.

I ran CPLmousefix parallel to WCA and killed it, and got a different feel again. So I'm not sure it is the accel killer it's made out to be. Or if it's just placebo on my part 8-[

You can remove sp3 by simply uninstalling it at control panel ---> add/remove programs. Make sure you have a WinXP disc at hand if things fuck up. After you are done get all the security fixes off of windows update site.

for the X and Y components, respectively.

But if it feels fine it usually is--the negative acceleration effects are very pronounced.

This clipping problem is avoided by using in_mouse 1, but the mouse inputs, allegedly (haven't seen the code for this, but I can feel it when A/Bing the two modes), have some sort of automatic smoothing applied to them, adding some nearly imperceptible delay to the mouse movements and clicks.

Both let you play just fine though, it's really a matter of what you're used to.

Yes, but buffer overflows may occurs (i.e. firing will not stop on button release etc.) at high usb poll rates.

cool! i talked to Laktos, i try check all on a4tech x7 2500dpi, coz i was in hell, and wanted to break that mouse, but skip says he fixed everything for playing with this mouse and ensure that this mouse is very smooth

I would teach you how to play, but I don't know myself!
