any program for universally editing ID3 tags?
what teh title says
i have a bunch of albums with gay track02 shit and now how to name them.
is there any program for changing tags in non-gay long way? to make it easier?
for windows os i always used MEDIATAGGER
winamp > all
just load them all into winamp and hit ALT+3 and u will have the ID3 tag editor box pop up.

but via winamp you cant fill a id3 from filename or from id3 rename mp3 file (of one file or all files in 1 folder)
true that but i dont care about its filename as long as i can easily find it in my winamp.

its very practical for example if youre making your own jukebox.
I think Shady was asking for a program that automatically tags your mp3's. In which case i would recommend Picard.
It logs on to musicbrainz.org database and tries to accurately tag the mp3's you tell it to tag. It's not easy to handle, but works like a charm (i don't use it though, i tag my every mp3 singlehandedly).
Mediatagger can do that too afaik, but it's inferior to Picard. And the database it has access to is much less complete then musicbrainz.

mediatagger supports this function too. but via freedb database
Newest Winamp with Auto-Tag function. Wee!
winamp ftw
Actually, the new winamp autotagger sucks. Especially if you have alot of underground music. Half of the stuff i put through it wasn't even in it's database. While in some other cases, it tagged certain songs with incorrect album and year infos..
Bleh. I'm still saying Picard is THE best autotagger, ever.
