ATI Gamme/Brightness problem
I seem to have a strange problem which i suspect is related to ATI cards only.
When i start Q3 is frelling dark, but after just touching the brightness slider in setup it pops back to the normal brightness.
I have tried using the r_gamma but it doesnt seem to help.
So anyone have any bright(ness) idea( ?
Im running windows btw
I have before alot ATI cards and all of them have that problem. You cannot solve that problem. Only if You set vartex
Best regards.
not exacly...
ATi uses deferent colors overriding, so when some popup will try to focus on self atantion in bacground, ATi drivers will change brightnes to desktop
it may help disabling popups or eny IM notyfications, and for extample using /bind key "r_gamma 0.1; wait; r_gamma 1.0; wait; r_gamma xxx"

Man, I have had this same exact problem forever, messed with the r_gamma settings and tried all kinds of shit. Thnx for the info guys.
Got it to work, i used ATI Tray Tools hotkeys in combination with standard quake bindings. Didnt work with just quake bindings though, strange
good hoice of tool im using it insted intensiti and gamma options in q3
i have that problem i just have /bind , r_gamma 1.6 /bind . r_gamma 1.7 then i press em both once or twice and it goes back to normal.
