Hello.
i dont know if im drunk or what, but my memory seems to recall this.
Is it possible to turn of the background sounds in the game?
Im talking about that anoying "bass Buzz" And sounds from fires and such?
I recall having something like that in my cfg or im just drunk... Gogge didnt give me much Btw...
So plz if u know what Cmd to turn them off, plz tell me!

I think 90 percent of people here would like this, but it’s not possible, well as far as I know. Ask HQ he knows pretty much all there is to know about cfg's

you could always open the pk3 files and replace the sounds with silent ones

You can replace BFG sound with cat miaow in pk3 files :twisted:

NEVER edit your pk3 files!! You'll get kicked off of pure servers for invalid pk3's.

well thats what backup is for 
p.s. a friend of mine replaced all sounds with burping and farting, but he was unable to play due to the fact that he was laughing to hard... :roll:

Ok. i downloaded the pk3 file at planetquake. it sux, the sounds of the weaponz are very annoying. specially the Rl and bfg. long freaky sound...
So that where no good... Ty for the effort atleast!
ill guess ill have to mod the orginal pk3 files and "delete" the background sounds.
Ill make backup....
ill tell u about my progress.
