Hi everyone,

If someone plays this game, I would like he shares tips here for everyone Big grin
I play this game for one week but I have a high ping ingame (110ms-150ms) instead in Quake (40ms-70ms). Is there packet settings or snapshots values?
And I would like to know if there is a console, which can change the graphic settings (like r_picmip in Quake) or at least display the fps.

i have it little over a year, in the beginning it was great but 6 months ago they released an update and since than i am lagging like hell! 1st i thought it was something with my pc but i bought a new gpu and shit still runs the same. Doesnt matter what resolution i set and details. If u have ping 120 u can consider yourself lucky man! Happy I am at 170 and over. But when u search 4 server ping is normal in search window right? I think i read somewhere that the number u see when u press scores is latency or smth like that.

about console, dnt think there is one in BC2. U can edit the settings.ini in your Documents/BFBC2 folder. U can set dx version and bunch of stuff like fov etc. but watch out with fov, its not the same like in q3. Normal is 55 in BC2 so try with 75 first.

about FPS u can download fraps(torrent). It will display fps in a corner u choose.

i bought it by EA store and i have downloaded version but isnt working... i ll format my disc install it again with ea advices and ill see ;]

Look at scoreboard and u will see that majority of ppl have ping value around 100-200. And yr ping is quite good for that. And why u want to use settings like r_picmip (/ritorical question/ usually ppl use it for low graphic settings) In this game better graphics u have, better u are. U will easily spot the enemy and so on..

Thanks for all you answers!

First, yes I have seen people who have 70ms ping and that's why I was wondering how Confused
And the blizzard or the dust is annoying to spot enemies so I search something like r_picmip to avoid it Tongue
This is sad that there is no console. I'll try to edit this cfg file.
