You should consider to run beer.freezer on ioq3 1.36 (viol v1.3dev), and turn on simultaneously:
sv_awh "1"
xp_antiWallhackLevel "1"
Sound from players saved and justifies the name "AntiWallHack".
You can check how this works here:

if its good for you, go create a server, put antiwh on 5 + ioquake viol

People efforts go in wrong direction,,, Game is empty not because of cheaters, and actually cheaters never were an issue, so why do you need to waste your time by updating this part of the game, better spend this time for advertising or lunching some event - result will be better.
This antiwh system can't work properly, don't even try, just look how it's done and you will notice the major issue that can't be solved.

After give report Easy about his xp_antiWallhack...
You can see behind the walls frozen players, else can be seen all players at the time respawn.
And else poor performance in general as see on this movie.
I hope all agree, if we really sacrifice quality of the game for the sake antiWH then first of all it must operate!
