Everything about how it works is on the web site. The video there, well there's no english version yet but the video itself actually explains the system. The web site is in both languages spanish and english.About the rcon, the help section explains why it needs rcon. Everybody is always worried about the rcon thing like its something really insecure. You can go to the web site, everything is there.This program is not only an anticheat system, it has a lot of cool features that can be useful for clans.

Ok, I'll edit my message to give a brief explanation for those who don't feel like checking out the web site.
This programs works as a anticheat system, that you use to join the q3 servers. This works for any mod or version. Why players and servers need to be registered? This is because the monitoring system on it kicks players (or puts them on spectator) who are not registered. So players need to be registered in order to be recognized by the anticheat system. This feature can be turned off and on, so if someone joins without the anticheat he can play too. If you need everyone connected to the anticheat then you can turn this on, any player without the anticheat will be forced to spectator mode and notified by a console message. Servers need to be registered because the rcon is needed to kick or spectate players, also to put messages on console notifying it. There's also a feature to post matches, so when a match ends you can post it on the web site by pressing a button, you can post comments on each match. This feature, and turning on/off the anticheat are given to specific users by setting permissions. Only an administrator user can do that, and that one user is the one who registered the server.The cheat detection method is based on how the cheat is done, so there's a different method for each cheat. When a user is detected with cheat, this action is posted to the web site too, so there's no need to verify q3 server log files. Very important thing: cheat updates are dynamic, it means that you dont need to update your client.There's also a new feature I added a few days ago, that allows you to mix players, so if you're training you can mix players (you can select how many players for every team as well).A very important feature regarding to user registration, is that you can only register once, so if you ban a user with this system he can't log in again.Like I said, this program is not only meant to be an anticheat software, but a clan tool (or at least I'm trying to do that) so with that said, I'm open to ideas by everyone and anyone. There's a few clans and players registered already, you can check it out on the web site.

Not bad Mark, this sounds good.
But I think that the server owners are not happy about this "rcon Story" - BUT, who knows? mby this will be the solution for the cheater problem!

Thats the hard part, it doesn't seem easy to understand to many people that registering a rcon password for this system is not harmful. I haven't used my time developing it just to get rcon passwords that can be changed any time. I'm not even asking for ftp passwords, THAT would probably be harmful.My objetive is to create a new anticheat software that can end with this cheaters thing that has been around for a very long time. I play the noghost mod and it's still a problem even with its updates. And also, the fact that its hard to rely on good unknown players that sometimes are considered cheaters, that plus not having a good security system, always end up in blaming with no proof.

rcon shouldn't be much of a problem, but tell me what it does better as punkbuster, global screenshots like easyanticheat? More actual cheats detected? etc.

edit: also if its a customquake3.exe, public or id software atleast get your sourcecode.

I think that screenshots don't tell much as actually knowing how to detect a specific cheat, so thats why it doesn't take screenshots. But, it does get information about running processes. This information is verified, just like screenshots are verified by their developers and then flagging as cheat. Actually there's a database with cheats information that are not detected by the noghost mod, and it tries to be as current as possible.It's not custom quake3. Also like i said in my other post, its not neccesary to update your client for it to detect more cheats. Whenever a new cheat is detected, this new detection is availabe to everyone.
As to the quake3.exe you mention , you need to select your quake3.exe to join servers with this program.
