killing the mouse accel in windows...tested with xp, vista. Works fine for me.yep but doesnt work for win7, there is special edition for win 7 and its lil bit harder to make it work
glad i dont have the win7 at the moment : >
win 7 works fine for me, its vista thats a shit.
like it was writen by hk goddamn. acceleration is turned off in windows when you uncheck the superhyper precision mouse trace button! some reg editors just do that same job
btw.
install 600mb linux with graphic window manager and all stuff for using pc + use your windows partition with quake and play with 100% no acceleration . = 0 problems + lower ping.
I read about that "lower ping on linux" story already.
I tried few distros in the past and my ping never changed
Linux is noob-friendly nowadays but still most things work better on windows.

bullshit.
windows always had some % of your connection reserved to his own application. you never had full connection speed at windows - by default (you can turn it off manualy).
this is difference for me ping is better always betwen win and linux ~5ms.
but main problem of this topic is acceleration. in linux i dont have feelig acceleration when i turn it off.
if you're talkin about the so called system-reserved bandwidth (supposed to be 20% (LOL)) then you're deluded, configuring the reserved bandwidth on 0% won't change shit to your ping

Hi,
I changed my windows mouse settings few days ago after a discussion with camel.
Yes, to modify windows drivers or mouse settings like the usb poll rate and others unsigned modifications, you have to disabled first windows checking drivers certification with
dseo13b(.exe)
and "enable the test mode with it". After you have done it, you can now apply your changes.
So maybe that's what people who didnt reach to apply this changes need.
