Clan Ranking Suggestions/Feedback
Hi all,
I think Rena has done a great job in getting us a great, efficient clan ranking system, and I would like to solicit some feedback on 2 points:
1. Clan Ranking - Is it overly complicated? Or Not?
2. Additional Moderator - If so, any nominations to aid Rena?

i think its first time i fully agree with hq. :roll:
1. its not 2 complicated for meh
2. as for the "second" moderator part, imho it would be bit hard to do, since only rena has acces to his wars database.

hey didnt have any major problems with the ranking system so im ok with leaving it as it is...with the addition probly that we should make logfiles a norm....but i did have some questions on the ranking points systems...mostly regarding a couple of redundancies...wondering if perhaps one of u could answer them....

ok rena i went through that rules topic more carefully....got a few questions...the way u award more points if the team u beat has more or less points than u before the war is so that if u beat a team thats far above u in points u get more points right?
but i dont understand..now uve already made sure that u get more points by beating a tougher team...but y then do wish to compound this effect by multiplying the points by the efficiency of ur opponent..by doing this ur doing the same thing twice isnt it? strictly speaking the multiplication by opponent efficiency is not all that necassary...
and then for skill u miltiply the points u gain by ur own efficiency...isnt this simply a way in which better teams get more skill points for the same game that a lower ranked team in terms of points would get less points...kinda like the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer...to me it makes no sense to multiply points by ur own efficiency because ur current skill level should have no effect upon the skill points u earn by playing a team...its only their skill level that should matter in the skill points u gain in a cw...
atleast this is what i think...perhaps im making a mistake in my reasoning..
Works perfect,imo no need to change anything.Complicated? No.Rena is active,if he wants help he should say it himself,but I know he made databases which do everything automatically so something tells me he doesnt need help.

It is necesery, because if you play against clan which play alot CWs and have alot points but have for example 10 wins and 8 losts it is quite different then you beat clan which have 17 wins and 1 lost. Second clan is more skilled and point which you earn then multiplayed with oponent efficiency. That is more real. Beating more efficient clan, earning more points.

That is also necesery. Because this is ranking system, not league which asure equal numbers of CWs to each clan and all clans play against all clans. Multiplaying points which you have with own efficiency is crucial for rank. One clan can for example play 50 CWs and have 25 wins and 25 losts then their skill is half of their points. Other clan can play only 20 CWs and have 18 wins and 2 losts. Without this rule first clan will be probably higher in rank which is not real...

k rena...as to the first question...i think doing it in 2 steps is making it complicated while u would have achieved the same result by making a system such that the points you gain by beating a clan = the efficiency of that clan..as to the second question ur reply makes perfect sense...
but when u think about it, since the skill system is cumulative u still dont equalize the skills of a clan that say played 20 cws and lost only 2 and a clan that played 40 cws and lost 4...

Clanranking is not complicated when you take time to understand it, if we do something easy like the system it was before, then ppl complain because it does not reflect reality and skill. Well take a look on rankboard and tell me where is the problem with ranks cauz we don't do something in order to be complicated we just do something that reflect actual clan skills, fair and equal for all.
Acually no need to more moderators, cauz rena do his job perfectly and hes very active. So i don't understand the need to ask this question, an other moderator won't have any usefull job, just can say yeah i'm moderator lol
