Hi!

I really need help.

My computer keeps getting errors ( BSOD's ) , i did try all sorts of things, i still have more to try, but i wanted to see if anyone here had similar problems.

I mostly get a BSOD: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
didn't see the file that was causing errors, on some, there was no file written,
with that i get a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and BAD_POOL_CALLER BSOD's.

I updated all my drivers, BIOS and so on...

It started one day all of a sudden and it keeps getting worse day by day.
I did take it on some tests where i bought the computer , but they didn't find any problems with the hardware.

I will take it there again if i don't find any solutions myself.

I did google most of the errors but there's really no clear answer, each had his own problems, same but a bit different then me, i'm still googling and trying, i hope any of you will have any suggestions.

My System:

Motherboard: Asus p5Q
Cpu: intel Core 2 Quad 9550 2.83 ghz
Gfx: Ati Radeon HD 4850 x2 1gig
Mem: 4 gig ( 2x2 1066 mhz Corsair with collerfans )
Hdd: 1x 640 and 1x 500 gig
Cd: basic DVD recorder
Power: Prophecy Metatron LC8750 v 2.2 ( 750W )

So please, if anyone has any suggestions please post, i've been dealing with this for a whole month, so i need help.

I know that the error is usually bcoz of ram failure but the test show no problems, i will try to put 2 gigs out, bcoz i saw something about it on a forum.

Thank you!

Regards, Oxide!

What test did you run? Installed any new hardware?

Burn memtest86 as a ISO on a CD and boot it that way. Oveclocked? Make sure your voltages are correct.

Overclocked no
Virus Scanners, None right now, i reinstalled windows from vista 64 to 32
and didn't put any virus scanner on yet, it was having same problems on the 64 version.

At the Service they ran all kind of tests from a-z, i think they used memtest 86, i already have memtest burned but i didn't try it myself yet, bcoz i think they already did it.

Nothing being overclocked means only ram-s need extra voltage i think, 2.1 v for the ram-s

I'm afraid the system will get a BSOD during the memtest, i read that it did happen to someone.

hi oxy!!

1st check these three voltage settings: northbridge, ram and cpu.

generally corsairs ram should work around 2.1v, put nb voltage @ 1.35 and your quad 9550 @ 1.25.
don't worry oxy, these voltage are into the normal range.. no risks believe in me (i'll don't write my settings ^^')

save bios changes and reboot.. thats all for now.
waiting for ur feedback. Winking

happened to my sis computer. the problem with hers is that it overheats and BSODS. shame i didnt pick up on it sooner, i think it's got permanent damage.

anyway, use speedfan http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php and keep an eye on temp and fan speeds... if you see that your comp bsods the only temp solution i had for her before she got a new comp was to open up the casing and have a fan blowing extra air in there (cos her other fans were knackered)

I did put the cpu voltage to 1.25 and restarted 1 time, got a BSOD about a ntfs.sys, first time i think.. not sure tho, then restarted it's running for now, but i must tell you that sometimes it runs for a day with no problem, anyway, must tell you aswell since i posted my first post i had 3 restarts ( BSOD ), will see now, what will happen.

isn't that bad.. but anyway strange. atm my quad is idlin' @38-40°.
(check if the four heatsink pins are correctly fixed to the mb)

another test..did u tried to run on that pc another os?
dunno, u could try any Linux live cd to check if u encounter again some memory errors? (there's also a memory test included on live cd's).

2 are the things: or your os is corrupted or ur sys is unstable.
