connection trouble

Recently I have lost the ability to connect to just two servers.
One of witch happens to be my server.
When I try to connect it just keeps counting and never connects.
I have had no trouble with any other servers and have tried many just to be sure.
Any help on this would be nice.Very aggrevating!!!!

Try reducing your /rate to around 10000 and check then.

neo. before u connect do /timescale 200 and then connect. it should fix the problem. (btw timescale automatically resets to 1 after u connect. all the ts 200 does is to speed up the number of attempts ur client makes i think).

Again,thank you Wonko,
But that did'nt work. It counted up to 2000
before I stoped it.

I just checked my other computer,witch is set up exactly he same,
and it had no trouble at all. So it's something on this computer.
Funny,,,I hav'nt changed anything??????

hmm dunno what else it could be. try pinging the servers u have trouble connecting to, cos the only other thing i can think of is ur having trouble just communicating with the server. unlikely. but cant think of anything else.

I dont have a solution, i just was able to connect again after a while. I have this problem still sometimes.

My problem is going a littlebit different. I play on a server, than i timeout. Server is still online, people are on it, just i cant connect anymore, "awaiting ... 1, 2, 3,...." While that i can connect to all other servers, even to the servers on the same rootmachine as the server i cant connect.

After a while, sometimes 5 min, sometimes a hour, i can connect again to the server i timed out.

No solution for me so far...

Thank you for replying.

I'll probebly just reinstall the game.
I hate doing it,but at least I have hard copies
of all my files and cfg's.

Well if its just two servers, perhaps both are running on a blocked port in your case.

Check the exact port of both, and see if they match Smug

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!

have you checked if MTU settings are the same on both comps?
