simply give him ur pak0.pk3 from baseq and download the PR 1.32 and 1.32c.
Put the pak0.pk3 in /Programs/Quake III Arena/Baseq (Sure u need to create the last 2 folders first) and than start 1.32 Setup, and than replace the q3.exe with the q3.exe from 1.32c.
Than DL e+ (for sure )

o0 i was playing last year on 1.32 without c 
could that be my problem with q3? i mean crashing my system, black screen and restarts?

there is nothing like having the original 
you can use the box for all kinds of things. e.g coffee mat, or rolling a bit fat dooby, or even stare at it for a while and have great satisfaction knowing that you possess the greatest game ever. You might even be able to read the little booklet and learn the controls lol. But most importantly you will own a real cd key !!
ps. thats probably been used by some punk ass mother fucking cheater (like the one i bought)

haha yeah if i got one i would prob leave it sealed an stored away into a time capsual an come back in 20 yrs or somthin to it to remind me of the great ol days
i got an original cd key with steam just no cd lol

Every q3 maniac would want to own original q3 cd. If I find original q3 in store I will buy 3 copies at once. I will never open two of them, and one I will put on shelf behind a thick glass.
Only problem is I cannot buy brand new q3 in stores in Poland since 4 years. I know it is similar in other (all?) countries. I don't want any crappy used cd from ebay, especially is some dirty hands touched it before me
You can buy here q2 and q4 but no q3. I am able to pay even 100 eur for that but id software does not want my money
Though then I would buy one copy only but still it would stay not-opened forever

@ reno i already have an origanal copy of Q3 from Steam.
Maybe some day ill buy the origanal cd its defo somthing i would like to have
