Crazy thought
Not intending to intrude in clan business at all, just a little confused that considering the recent, ehm, exodus of players from the proper Wasp clan which still struggles to find replacements, and the blacklist enlisting more and more players each week thanks to the hard work of Killer & co, maybe it would be a good idea to simply give the whole clan/sub clan idea a miss and make Wasp a single entity like it once was?

Not crazy but whether it's best.... IDK. I thought about it before but decided to concentrate on WASP2 which has struggled but is finally making headway.
With an additional two more players likely to come aboard in the next week WASP2 will be at 10 members which is 3 or 4 less than my ideal clan.
In the meantime, WaspHunter has started a recruitment drive for WASP and I have already given him a hand in identifying a Romanian player. I think that effort should be given some time to succeed.
Furthermore, with the exception of WaspPlayer (LimeRobot/Player01) who lives in Portugal, no one else in WASP2 has any desire to play on European Servers.
However, when all is said, the fate of that decision rests with one man, and his name is Term.

There was a time not too far in the distant past where any American interested in joining Wasp2 would have to play on a European server. There simply aren't as many skilled player in the U.S. as compared to Europe. Just remember when administrating this group of players, Killer, that it's ok to have RULES and requirements for your players, to push them to improve and grow in skill (and part of that, yes, includes playing on European servers).
If you're not going to push to improve, why not just recruit everyone who joins a server?

What you say is all true but we're different ppl and we go about things differently.
Term recruited me (and I quote from Wasp2's Private Forum) "to drive a recruitment initiative in the United States."
My objective is first and foremost to build up WASP2 and have it become the best Freeze Tag Clan in the US. The fact is, had Term told me that I would have had to play in Europe I won't have joined WASP2. It's nothing against the European side of the house but I have enough trouble getting a decent ping in the US, since I reside in Central America, than to concern myself with Euro servers.
WASP2 is a mixed bag of talent at the moment. But, we have 2 FWs and 1 CW scheduled in this month alone. And, I intend to keep up that pace as long as I can for two reasons. First, the constant exposure to skilled opponents (like Dissonance) is bound to have a beneficial effect on my players' skills. Second, the clans that play together frequently tend to stay together longer and perform better.
You have to realize that only a few months ago WASP and WASP2 combined had a total of 3 players. The situation has changed but I plan to manage WASP2's progression at a measured pace.
Those WASP2 members who feel capable of more always have the option of moving to WASP and compete with the likes of K[], LEM, SWE, and DRT.
