Custom models not working
I've setup my excessive server (on linux) and everything is working great, except the up- and downloading of player models.
I've enabled serverside downloading (this works, because Excessive auto-downloads to clients). Yet, models other users use (let's say a Homer or something) don't show up on clients who don't have the corresponding .pk3 file. They don't seem to upload to the server and/or clients.
Is there an easy way to fix this (I've tried uploading the .pk3 file in the baseq3 dir of my Quake3 server, this doesn't work. The client simply ignores it).
I've searched everywhere for an answer, any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
as an client have autodownload set to 0 he cant download anything from your server and are that skin not in use also an client cant download it
so as you have an homer bot and let it run on the server than an client that have autodownload on must befor he can play download the bot and the md3 file so he see the skin otherwise the client see the sarge skin
and yes put that file in baseq3 folder
let that bot playing on the server
erik you got msn for me its more easyer to explane in dutch
I dont know much but have tryed some of those skinns and all it does is mess the game play up,,,, then u have to go and clean folder up.....pluss it take up memory,,,,what was i talking about????????? Tell the people on your server to download full mod....any way good luck
Clients have autodownload enabled, they can download the Excessive Mod via the server.
How do I enabled the server to serve these .pk3 files? Use bots with custom skins?
