Damn msn issues!!
Ok, i searched for the answer to this one all over the web.. some solutions have been posted but none seem to work for me and to be honest i think they are solutions posted by people who dont seem to have a clue. read on...
when i try and and sign in to msn i get this error code:- 3100030d
and i cant connect to messenger. i click service status and it says service is ok - i cannot find this code listed on the msn list of error codes.
now, i know its not my pc because we have 6 pc's in use in the house, 3 on xp - 2 on vista and 1 mac and i have tried with firewall disabled.
my router is not running a firewall.
i have opted in and out of windows live beta to see if that was an issue.
i have installed nothing in the time to conflict with it.
made sure all my pc is up to date (all ok)
I would say a windows update may have done it but the mac is getting same code. blah blah blah...
ok any help would be really welcome as its got to the point of pissing me off really badly - (not being unable to use msn but not being able to fix it)
anybody else having this problem?
btw its been going on for about 10 days now.
i had the same problem until i upgraded to internet explorer 7. dunno if that will help you.
edit: in the meantime use web messenger
Hmm..I ain't an expert but when a similar problem occured to me some months ago and I wanted so badly to sign in on msn I used miranda and it worked just fine.
well I know it's not a real solution but I think it may come in handy if you really want to chat with someone on msn asap
hehe, glad to know that you fixed it,even if you do not know how
just to let you know about miranda if anything happens again in the future (hope not).
you get it for free from here
you can log in several messengers such as ICQ,Skype,Yahoo,AOL and ofc MSN .Many people have it as their main messenger :]
all the windows based pc's are running ie7 and the mac also has the same issue, so cant be this reason.
also GOM, i dunno what miranda is but will look into it - ta.
i was wondering if the problem was maybe associated with the router or if it was a regional issue, because all my pc's are affected the next point would be to check would be router
