Just got a G5 mouse, and found the problem - cant bind nothing in Quake to side button, and wheel left and right moves, i tryed to reasign them by SetPoint software (updated to ver 2.47), but i doesnt made any progress.
updated Firmware to ver 1.1 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/US/EN,CRID=322,contentid=11017,OSID=1,softwareid=11305), all without any effect Sad

I'm asking for help to people with more expirience in use of this devil device lol

if you bind for instance the key "7" to side button with key assignment in setpoint, does that help?

1st action: throw away the G5
2nd action: buy a Diamond Razorback

@Kickz Sorry, i already did the 1st action with Razorback Tongue

mhmhmhm side button started to work as mouse 4, but wheel not Sad
