You have to open the port your using on your firewall, open the UDP (I think its called that:D)

Wow Big grin It worked. Ok so I have a firewall in my VM but not outside of it. I guess my firewall was blocking it cause I shutdown the VM and I found the server on Excessive Plus Spider. Rolling on the floor Wow, thx guys, I can't believe it worked. Big grin

Actually the server was already showing on E+ page since 2 days ago i saw it there, good to know it works.

Hey um, one of my friends is trying to connect. He used /connect, multiplayer->specify, and QConnect on here. He said none of them are working -- Is there anyone here that can try it out ? I've got the thing still up.

i cant connect.

ok, you opened forwarding ports on udp, but did you open the firewall for incoming data on that port?

i think your firewall is blocking any client that tries to connect.

I don't really know how to work my firewall that well, but it's on my VM. Didn't think it would really affect this but I turned it off just now. See if you can connect now that it's off.

And every little while I check out the server in the spider page, it seems to time out quite often. Is there a reason for that?

my assumption would be that some heartbeats get lost.

and i tried to connect, but my machine got lagged to hell. problem resolving your ip.
