The old forum was much more convenient for me. Just scrolled down (I click mouse3 and just move the mouse down) and all sections with new posts got another mouse3 click on them (opening a new tab in FF) and when at the bottom I just went through all the tabs.

More clicking now, but it's not like "omgz I must whine until it's changed"-bad. I also got the impression this is very temporary until something new is released, then again I wonder why anything was bothered to change in the first place x)

Agree with below poster, too. Nothing wrong with my connection (...most of the time) but sometimes this website does not seem to be in a rush Happy

But that button really doesn't argue for or against any layout though. More like... Nullifies them all if you check the website reasonably often Happy

i prefer rolling instead of loading a new page to get to a subforum after a subforum.. my internet is slow so i just find it irretationg hence f1

btw i h8 that the private forum of my clan is now so small printed... hard to click xD

lol just noticed the private forum thingy blinks. made me think there was a post since i last visited it. but turned out there wasnt.

dunno it isnt really that big a deal but i find the way the forum navigation text works very very weird. (where it says forum index >> ranking >> ranking >>clan ranking). also i personally prefer scrolling to all this clicking. but as i said no big deal. its just a bit funny. Happy

yes we do know that button. nevertheless you still have to browse what forum you've last visited and in my case that might be many many pages i think i posted arround 600 posts, and search through that is not what i want spend my time in.. sometimes i post in a thread that are year old, that means i still have to browse through the pages in order to find it. But then. if i know exaclty where it is i find it easier. The old forum is what i learn to search in, i know it as my own pocket. Thats why this new look makes it harder to search. Its a new system i dont have learned yet.

But i think kx idea is good. There is some who want the old style and some who like this new style. Then let each invidual decide what style they want.

i prefer the old.

I don't like so much this clicking style, but voted for it.

why ? cos if the improvements that bert proposed are done that would be so cool. http://forums.excessiveplus.net/viewtopic.php?p=200700#200700

adding the forums that u are in, in your favorite section is nice.
as example I am in XP clan and zoo team, so I see them in favorite section that I could access at anytime and from anywhere in the forum

I would also propose an improvement : having the possibility to add some forums to the favorite.

Wanna avoid seeying mow, skull & co Surprise

At this point I'd like to comment:

This is a mere taste as to how the new website will work. There will be profile settings, buddy lists, favourites etc. etc. - This is a temporary cosmetic change until the new website is in place.

Another reason why we decided to update the forums was due to load time. Members with slower internet speeds could not access the main page.

This new presentation is cool of course but like many ppl said, really not convenient. Those who have a slow connection now have to load 3 pages to access to private clan forum...same for those with fast connections. I call this the equality from the bottom...Imo the most used forums should also keep an easy access on the main page: clanrank & clan database too.(not national teams and fun teams).
