imo - its not - if its a game matter why not using this? (pls send me the script Winking ) ... anyway there are some other thing that could be considered as a cheat - r_picmip 10 for example or trick that allows to jump into hellfog without beeing killed ... (pretty usefull when hidding a flag on some ctf maps Happy )

An outside piece of software...(aimbot wallhack...) is cheating....

using the settings buit in to the game is not.....if it was. changing fov settings and turning off snow in freeze would be cheating....andit is not..

Hm...
I'm not reffering to you Stollo, the question is free and yours is smoothly put.

You dont really need a script to do this. As Stollo say, this comes with the game. Some practice in weaponswitching would also do the trick. Me sometimes is just plain lazy. If this, in some wierd way, would be concidered a cheat by the community then we all should respect that. But those who can do this thing manually? Will their fingers have to be cut off?

Imo, being ignorant and accuse stuff like this of being a cheat, only coz you dont know anything about it, is just plain foolish.

Thanks for the "Youre stupid, stollo" vote. I thought nobody is gonna choose this option Laughing
To make things clear - I am neutral to that matter. I dont want the ppl that are using the script to stop using it. I also dont want them to feel like cheaters. As couple of ppl said here - it is a Q3 flaw and it is available to anyone that wants to make use of that. The poll was started out of curiosity and should not be treated as my crusade against ppl who use such a script, allright? I play for fun and it doesnt matter to me if i win or loose. I just like the adrenaline e+ gives me :twisted:

I think its lame to use a railswitch script, but I dont think its cheating.

If you can learn to do it really fast manually its a skill, otherwise its just lame, like spawncamping is lame but not cheating.

The script that allows you to hide in the fog is worse than spawncamping in my opinion. It has nothing to do with skills or tactics, just abusing game mechanics.
