I got quake 3 on 1999 when it was first released.it was one of my first fps games.I loved playing against bots and I was always dreaming of playing against real people.Too sad noone was playing on net cafe this game and I did not have good connection (just a crapy 56k dial up)

Q3 was always installed on every PC i had...even I was playing other games too when I had the fun I was playing against bots just to relax.I had many mods and favorite was "defrag" cause it was offline whatever

On Octomber of 2006 when my adsl connection was installed I started playing some q3 online from my home.I got disappointed due to the fact that i had much lag (200 and above). But i kept on playing because I loved that,I loved that i was finally playing q3 online! It was like a dream coming true!
I started playing 1vs1 because I thought I would have fewer ping because there are not so many people.One guy told me to download the excessive plus mod.I replied "OK" and disconnected .

Thus I downloaded the mod and finally I had the chance to play with very good ping (even if it was 140 it was good to me )
I loved e+ I loved some quakers I met
I did not have uni cause of some issues here in greece so I had much time everyday for quaking

Just for the record I have played some other online games such as
Counter strike (great addiction once)
Silkroad (mmorpg)
Unreal Tournamet 2004 (good but not as good as quake 3....)
Quake 4 (I played online q4 before q3...from net cafe)
Halo (got 6th position on an Athens Tournament 4 years ago)
Serious Sam second ecounter on split screen mode
Warcraft 3 and dota

But none of these games had ever moved me so much as quake3 did.Never before got addicted so much by a single mod.

I REALLY HATE I MISSED THE ROCKET ARENA AND OSP TIMES ;(
