I fully agree with the petition.
If you are gonna make a thread like this, please make sure you get your facts straight. Its bullshit.
Ea wanted to be able to change the banners in the game so that they can make even more money. The program is loggin your ip and what banner/s you have seen.
They dont even collect the information. And its no information that will in any way effect you outside the game. Or even in the game for that matter.
The advertising program in Battlefield 2142 does not access any files which are not directly related to the game. It does not capture personal data such as cookies, account login detail, or surfing history.
BF 2142 delivers ads by region. The advertising system uses a player's IP address to determine the region of the player, assisting to serve the appropriate ads by region and language. For instance, a player in Paris might be presented with ads in French. The information collected will not be repurposed for other uses.
Battlefield 2142 also tracks "impression data" related to in-game advertisements: location of a billboard in the game, brand advertised, duration of advertisement impression, etc. This information is used to help advertisers qualify the reach of a given advertisement.
@alex k : :roll: :oops: u did it . n1
@smorgar : nice job by informing us corect.
can I remove my signature from the petition now?
This Is continuing...
Look @ the wonderful use of "the Russian"
Ok, i don't care if it has spyware or not. It still has AD's, and i don't want AD's when i play a friggin game. I also don't want the game to send my IP anywhere else but the game servers. And one other thing - do you think EA would actually say - "Hey, yeah. Our game sends your ip, e-mail address and other yummy things to random AD sites. We do so to get more money. Enjoy!" :roll:
Read in future the contract (the thing what u have to confirm when u install stuff).
easy as that, u can agree or even not. industrie also do want people dont use warez-games, people do it anyway.
I just dunno whats there more illegal.
