Howdy...

I just love guitar solo and I'd like to see if there's anyone else that's on the same frequency with me... Pretty sure that I'm a beginner on this thing but I'm hot and kickin... don't do it because it's cool or somethin... I'd say it's rather a deep feeling. Never had a single class on any musical instrument but I just feel the guitar... and I don't want to be a dick and show how cool I am... all I want to say is that I'm starting this guitar blues/heavy metal solo stuff and I want to see other people round here (if there are any)... that have something in common with guitar stuff...

I'm thinking of buying a new electric guitar and I chose the epiphone tune. It comes close to gibson and it got that raw power of a gibson ( ... almost but whatever)... I'm going on epiphone lp 100 and fender mustang amp for a starter pack.

Anyway, doesn't matter what kind of wood you got... as long as you got what it takes to put any piece of crappy wood on fire... So what kind of wood you guys have and why?... thanks!

Re: Electric guitar

Hello Overdrive,
I have been playing metal music and such for 20 years. I own a BC Rich Warlock-nj series, Gibson LesPaul custom, Jackson Randy Rhoads signature and my baby a Zakk Wylde signature LesPaul. I will say the axe is everything. Comfort comes first then sound. If you dont mind I will advise you to start with a Ibanez guitar. One with a floating tremlo if possible. Fender Mustang is a good starter if you like country or blues sounds but not really metal music. I would suggest a Peavy. You can never have to much drive/distortion cause this can be turned down but if the amp dont have enough then your looking at buying pedals. There are alot of opinions so I hope others will comment. Here are some bands I like to play to. Slayer, Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold, Megadeth, Pink Floyd, Racer X, and others alike. Happy shreding Happy

like it'd been missing all along.
The blood streaked across your face
like some twisted lover's deformed lipstick trace.
Staring at your reflection
wondering how you're still alive.
Wondering if she's somewhere laughing,
deciding whether to let you die.

Re: Electric guitar

@ sonic - yeah, confort means a lot... and I find epiphones to be perfect. Actually, I'm thinking of setting the lp 100 for a long run (I'll pretty much upgrade everything on it to make it suitable just for me...). About the amp... I chose this mustang 1 just for practice... and btw. Nice guitars you have there... let me know if you want to get rid of any of 'em... (it'll never happen... hehe)...

@teq - I don't roll with black stuff but hey, 7 string sounds interesting...

@f**k - upgrading cheap stuff is a great way to bypass buying expensive things...
