ExcessivePlus Mod Mapping Contest
hello,
The project we are trying to acheive is to form a map pack especially customized for excessiveplus mod.For the sake of making the mod more known than what it is now , promote new mappers ,introduce more and more custom maps in public servers. we are looking for mappers that have just finished maps, or are in the process of making one, that can be suitable for E+.
By releasing this map pack in our community, along with a new mod update we are working on, the maps will have greater impact than if they had been released in the usual channels.they have good chance to be as known as Rocket arena map pack, or three wave CTF map pack, because it will be the official Excessive plus mappack.We are seeing too many work of great mappers completely lost in oblivion.And this is too bad.
I/_Conditions to participate :
-Number of maps included in the map pack = at least 5.
-Maps have to be recent.(not known and played by some other mods, already).
-They have to have excessiveplus logos in them,disposed in some visible and various places in the maps.

1-necessary files to view the mod and play it, just like we do.
2-a list of current servers online.with the possibility to connect to them from the webpage.(using a small application named qConnect).
3-access to our forums.
II-/ Mod description :
The game is characterized by a ,very very fast pace gameplay , no self inflicted weapon damage, and uber-powerfull knockback that can send you from earth to stars while , aiming and shooting at the enemy.
The server configurations are highly customable by server owners, we can have Excessiveplus servers that can give you the feel like you are playing CPMA,or Instagib,or rocket arena .

III-/Server Hosting:
Maps that are submitted on time will run at a US located dedicated servers from HK group of servers.for a full month,they will then be subject to a poll for community to judge along with a jury counselling.
Contest deadline :
This announcement is open for on month starting from the date of the posting.If you know a good q3 mapper and that doesnt know the mod, please send him this invitation to the contest.
Jury :
I ll receive any applications to be part of the jury untill the 31th february 2008.Via PM.

Nice initiative Casa. I've seen quite some talented mappers around here (only Insanekid springs to mind atm tho).
Hope this will rise some interest and deliver a nice map pack if successful.

you mean remapers? im yet to see a map actualy made by him, as oposed to converted, remixed and/or retextured. no offense intended.

sokar has agreed we use his use his maps on the map pack, providing we make some minor changes....(E+ logo) and maybe some special E+ jumpads)

i got a positive reply from two great mappers, one of them is

Checked those maps a while ago 
Anihilation was rather nice, but had some clipping bugs, you could go behind the mountains, otherwise nice.

yes, i have told him about this detail that is related to E+.the ability to fly everywhere has to be taken in account while doing or editing a map for E+.
speaking about shadow, can you take a look at those 9 maps that he has on LVL, and tell me if you see anyone, in your opinion , fit to be in E+ map pack.? i am thinking about gameplay,bfg sliding, team camping in some spots of the maps..Etc..the easthetics are nice, so we wont disagree in it.

playzone is a nice map , made from scratch by insane kid.very original.yet , not the serious,pro level map we are looking for , it is a nice fun map.
there is also sokar , who is an expert mapper.no doubt there, he posted a link to his maps on the previous topic we had. his maps are on LVL here, and he plays E+.
