the uk has very strong laws about the movement of people from/to outside of the european union when they are non residents of the union... i think croatia is still a candidate country... so basically 2 hours is really nothing... i've heard of people being questioned for upto 6 hours.

unless you have diplomatic immunity, everyone is subject to questioning. i expected more from him since he has lived in england. as for people treating him badly... they are idiots and dont represent us as a nation.

i'm dissapointed in him, he coulda been the bigger man and walked away from the trap the interviewers laid for him... now people will want to hate him, and not for just beating england. him and the team deserved the win, but his quote makes him look petty.

mentioning how we treat each other in airports is a bit irrelevant... security is a priority here, cos of mass paranoia, no matter who the person is or how long before people know they are coming.

i guess we will put 'the treatment' down to cultural differences.

but using that '2 hours' as an excuse to beat england... rather than the want to win every game is what is so disappointing to me.

we've known about croatia, where they are, how good they are at football etc for a while... but i don't want to get into political and historical discussions. I wish croatia all the best... i hope they at least make it to the semi finals.
