i agree with the fact that in the most known public servers Beer/ Aim & others .. you can see sometimes like 4 players play and 6 -8 specting ... (i have screenshots!)

offtopic: Why do players miss their responsibilities in e+ ? because WE let them! Why we can't do simple tasks ? Because we have big co-hones!! (to be continued)
I agree with the freezing of specs in the ghost purpose, mainly because This game is not Soccer/Football !! we don't play on maps with invisible walls (relation with the Soccer/Football field).. teams play with strategies that can be overrun by i guy that is The Coach, looking with his eyes on all the players on the map ("almost" like a cheater) which is Specting ! he is not playing ...
funny conclusion : a Soccer/Football Coach is a CHEATER in e+ and should be Banned! (i have the 100% poison resistence against cheaters Amulet)

Frozen Spectator is a nice feature for public servers,
to make ppl play instead of spectate.
In FW/CW it kills the chill!
free fly is something which kills the fun and any strategies...Quake isnt only about aiming and railing skills, its like more predicting the next step of the enemy, to make out strategies and to win with ur team...
IF u iinsanekid can SEE (like wallhack,generally talking) what I am up to, and no PREDICT (which takes a great amount of experience), makes me loose fun figuring new strategies out and playing at all.... You in the other hand are looking for an easy way to win...
ME for example, I can mostly predict the move of my enemy by just specing my teammate playing/getting fragged...
to make it more clear....
dm7.... I am frozen, my teammate (which i spectated )get killed at red armor by the enemy who i saw and actually HEAR that he is moving through basement to quad...so if i thaw at quad, i know from where the guy will come, if i thaw at mega i know quad is not secure...
hope u got my point... free flying just kills strategies, which is the most significant fact of a clan...Stronger the strategy, harder to predict it..

my oppinion about this:
i think its good that there is a block to spec freely around speaking about were the enemies are else the game would be to easy.
saying omg 1 is @ mega drawing some time with his camp ( why we have anticamp protection ?? )
we could enable fly spectating but we should remove the anticamp protection and just give 1 ammo round for bfg/rocket/spammeble weapon so everything would be much easier because some ppl think it isnt fair to not watch other team playing and saying were they are and ruin there game strategie what gives them the edge of a game, so lets remove the MVD and demo posting because we dont need it anymore if everyone can watch everyone already in game.
so, enable specfly, disable anticamp, 1 ammo round for spam and ban the once using team speak ???

\lock should lock only team join ability, any pov locks - only with \speclock

btw kid, ur other idea, to use speclock for public freeze to avoid them speccing is bad, since u cant spec cheaters anymore and also some people like kx tend to be simply afk not speccing at all.

Imho freezeing is a moving penalty for killed ppl, but seeing isn't a move it's a process. So imho in fw\cw should be only possibility for frozen ppl to see from theirs POV in same angel like it was in a moment of got frozen. Regular spectators should see only scoreboard if they weren't invited to any team.
And in public games should not be any limitations, coz for new ppl in mod or even for experienced players spectating is a good way to improve skills... and as many skilled players will be in e+ - more alive will be the community...
