Recently i bought A4tech X7 XL-750BK mouse, and played without mouse pad (on white non reflex table) for one month without problems. But today i decided to try play with mousepad suitable for this mouse so i bought A4tech X7 M200 mouse pad,and problems occured with it. It doesn't loose tracking only on 3600dpi ,and on any lower dpi settings it bugs when i make fast moves with mouse. It starts to go in funny directions and makes non-logical movements when i make fast move. I tried to include cl_mouseAccel but it still makes same problem. My operative system is WInXP professional, 3.2Ghz processor, 512Mb DDR2 RAM memory, and some lame integrated graphic card which is imo enough for quake (S3chrome). Anyone can help me or give me some advice how to fix this? I would apreciate it alot. I made a demo to see what am i talking about.

try first this \m_filter 1 if doesnt help try these \in_mouse -1 and then \in_restart also use try to using lesser polling rate if 1000 decrease to 500 if 500 decrease to 250

hmm, to me looks like the sensor of the mouse ain't compatible with the mousepad, i see the mouse is laser and the mousepad is cloth material, laser needs hard pad and plastic/metal/glass materials. to me happens the same with my g9 with the goliathus mousepad, it's cloth mousepad and pointer goes all shit n lose tracking when i move it slow. anyway u can try in_mouse -1 and 500 polling rate as said before, m_filter better not coz it's some kind of accel but maybe u can like it.

i've tried different rate values 125,500,1000Hz and tried /m_filter 1/0 and also /in_mouse -1/1 but still it don't loose tracking only at 3600dpi ,which is too much for me, cuz by now i'm too much used on 800dpi and 1.6 sens no accel, so the only reasonable solution might be the pad surface, as diablo said. Untill today i played on white table with non-reflective surface and it worked perfect ,but my mouse slides are wasting enourmosly faster than on pad Confused

On the box of this pad is written : "Compatible for All mouse types: Ball,Laser, and Optical" and i assumed its gonna work good with this mouse i got since its from same X7 series as a pad, but i guess i was wrong. Confused btw, i tried with small accel (0.03) and the tracking loss is much much lower now,but its damn hard for me now to start playing with accel again Happy

this is not a problem, this is just an bad mix mouse-mousepad that's all. with my deathadder the mousepad goliathus goes perfect, with my g9 goes shit as shit, if i move slow it sux, if fast goes bit better, just that mousepad is not good for ur mouse, buy a hard pad, plastic, metallic or glass. i could tell for example a : razer sphex, scarab, destructor, steelseries qck heavy, roccat sota, sense.

maybe mouse require usb 2.0 port, and you have older version?

I believe that God left certain drugs growing naturally upon our planet to
help speed up and facilitate our evolution. Okay, not the most popular
idea ever expressed. Either that or you’re real high and agreeing with
me in the only way you can right now. “I forgot the code, is it two
blinks yes, one blink no?” Do you think magic mushrooms growing atop cow
shit was an accident? Where do you think the phrase, ‘that’s good shit’
came from? Why do you think Hindus think cows are holy? Holy shit! Why
do I think McDonalds is the Anti-Christ? That’s Gods little accelerator
pad for our evolution. Let’s think about this, man.

nope its not the problem definitely with the software and drivers, all are up-to-date, since mouse works on a table without pad perfectly
