hi people,
u knows this program --> GAME BOOSTER?
it's a good program to turn a slow PC into a fast gaming box and (Important!!) it's working with PunkBuster

this is the NEW free version of them.
there is also the premium version (with more features), but you have to pay for it... or THE INTERNET IS BIG

u are right Skull, this 1 makes some processes down and than is the PC faster. at some more, others less.

Or with other words you add a process for letting it do the stuff good pc guys are capable off, like necrogeddon whose winxp ran at 13-14 processes?

To split hairs now, it doesn't make your pc faster, it does just close not needed background apps, so more resources become free.

Qordis, you contradict yourself.
If you have a computer with a lot of running background processes and programs, then you have not many free resources ergo a slow PC. This program make a lot of all them down -> u become more resources free (like u said) ergo u have a faster PC. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
But everyone can decide for themselves.

no, u don't have a faster pc, 1,4 ghz are 1,4 ghz or whatever, but you have more free ressources to run a game or an app faster and the pc works faster as it does without closed backgrounds apps but never faster as the give hardware allows. But you can not say the pcs as such is faster. It is not an overclocking, got it?
Thats why I used the term "hairsplitting"
