hand/mx518
Ever since i started to play my mx518 (that was maybe 2/3 weeks ago), after just a few games my hand needs replacement. My fingers get all stiff, aiming is practically non-existant, changing weapons is a disaster (if i normaly shoot i shoot 1st with the railgun i then i shoot with the rocketlauncher/bfg just in case, after some gameplay i switch weapons too fast and actually shoot only with the rocketlauncher/bfg, thus getting killed because i didn't get the other player with my rail). I know that probably i should take more breakes etc., but i've seen other players play for 5/10 maps pretty much on the same level, and im out after just a few. Maybe it's because i play with three fingers, the middle one on the scroll, and i have my hand a bit set back because when i play with this configuration, it is hard to change weapons with the scroll as i need to bend my finger way back, and i need to hold my hand a bit in the air. Because of this my hand doesn't rest on the mouse the whole time but is a bit elavated. if this is not it then i really don't know what's going wrong. Maybe i just need to practice more?
The post has turned out to be a bit longish, thanks for help anyways.

off topic?
why do you use mouse wheel? and get a mouse pad with wrist rest on it
I use mouse wheel too, because my binds are around arrow keys not wsad (old q1 habit that just dosen't want to die), and there's not much place there on a standard keyboard for all the weapon switches.
Back to the topic: Don't know how is this supposed to help, but i have exactly the same problem as you, and from my experience a lot of practice, playing past midnight (dunno why but when i'm tired i play better) and 4 - 5 beers fixes the problem
theres plenty of space around sdfe movement controls for weapon switches
blabla, arrows rule
edit: sry arx
hmm no binds on mouse
i just use my mouse for jump shoot and jump+shoot bind
all other keys are around aswd
i dont use an mx518 but i think its bad to play with 4 fingers.
wanna tryout a part of my cfg? ;>
_______
apache what buttons do u use then? i am thinking about using the one on the side of my mouse but the way i hold it makes it hard to use them
