It's hard to say and admit, but this mod is dead....really, no more fun playing on servers, cw's and fw's are rarity these days. Even if you arrange cw, most people forget about it or simply take it for granted. Clans fall apart, too much ''I know everything'' guys lurk around, 98% of servers are empty (I really don't know why do the server owners pay money for a server which is always empty), etc. But, what can you expect from 10 years old game, everything has it's lifespan. This game simply doesn't cut it anymore....Even quake live didn't meet it's expectations, Id thought they'll have more players online and they were wrong.

But I am certain some of guys here wont agree with me....anyway, these are my 2 cents and my point of view on this.

Hard to say....

after checking the vsp stats page on a popular server recently. i saw 232 entrys around a hundred were duplicates and some were ppl who join for 2 minutes then leave. so not a huge player base compared to 2 years ago(for example.). but was fun.

It's not as much 'dead', as 'laying in a damp alleyway in a pool of it's own blood, taking it's last breaths as a hobo gets ready to finish it off with a lead pipe and take it's wallet'.

Hard to say....

Playing the same game for 5 consecutive years is much, and I doubt many gamers stick with the same game for that long. I don't have fun on public servers anymore, but there are tons of newbies around and I bet they have. I don't grind 5 straight hours anymore, I used to and had tons of fun with it - now I like to catch up with people on msn/irc and play the occasional game. It's only natural.

But, I want to say this, to kill off 30 minutes of time every now and again I still haven't played a game more fun than E+. When it's good it's really good.

a game is dead when there are no newcomers, since it will die due to old people leaving.

if e+ will die out completely, itll be a great loss for me, although i also dont play much anymore.

i dislike newer multiplayergames already cuz of the newer graphics^^ i want bad graphics that work with constant fps and a good overview Happy

my reason to start with e+ especially was its fast gameplay, i love it fast and i never found a faster shooter (didnt rly search that much tbh).

every game will die someday, i think q3 (e+) has tricked death for a few years already, but according to final destination logics, it cant really escape it, its the natural way of life. I wont shed a tear, cuz i know all in all it had a good life Happy

Anyway, plus still is a bit more active now than it was around summer. I think as long as there are cups being organized, it won't die completely, rather just slowly fade away as it were up 'till this point. It's all in the hands of the people that stayed.
