HDD problem(Solved)
Guys, I'm in deep trouble (ffs shit!!!) . My main partition failed, I mean it gave me the error: "Cyclic redundancy error" and windows sees it as unformatted. When I try acccesing it, it says "D is unformatted, wanna format?" NO! here lie my most important unrecoverable files so I need to recover them somehow. I used windows checkdisk (from an older version of windows xp) and it repaired some errors on them (some partitions I couldn't see, now I can see and acess them). My main question: CAN I RECOVER MY FILES? Also, I have many documents for which creation date is crucial to me, can I recover them with original creation date? Guys please help me out, I in a very big mess
The partition on your hdd is corrupted. Depending on what part of the drive is corrupted, you may or may not be able to recover the files. It depends on how badly the sectors are messed up. I would advise that you try the program 'SpinRite'. It will analyze the drive and let you know whether or not it can be recovered, and if possible, recover it.
if you need a link, pm me.
use paragon disk manager, it can browse corrupted partitions.
