Hi Zoom mate, good to see you still alive and kicking :]

This is the PC I have just bought, similar budget to what you have in mind (but I bought a new monitor too, so it's a little more expensive).
Hopefully will give you a good idea of what to go for!
Cheers & see u on the servers soon!
Ash
ok so its about 1600euros, right? for one pc or for two? do u have two monitors alredy or want new ones?
Better is to build one by yourself to be honest:
If i would be you, i'd rather go for next brands such as: Western digital for storage, ASUS or EVGA for MOBO, CPU intel (dislike the AMD cos had numerous problems with this brand back in the days), RAM you can choose between Kingston, G.Skill, Corsair.
Graphic cards, im fan of Nvidia, from EVGA.
when i have enough €, i want to buy one of those motherboards: ASUS Sabertooth Z77, Asus Rampage IV Black Edition, EVGA X79 Dark.
About Towers, check for Corsair brand, for example Corsair Obsidian Series 900D one of my favs, lots of space, lots of stuff to do there.
Also I suggest you to have ''Everything Watercooled''.
Lets see what others think about.
P.S. You can find lots of online shops, that make a build for you, you just need to tell them what components you want to have in your pc, and they will make it, its just they can add extra €...for it but im more to ''do it yourself''
wait intel 5 series cpu's and wait nvidia 9 series. I have MSI GAMING 5 Z97 its good overclockable and stable.i have asus r9 280x but i suggest you evga/msi gtx 980/970 .Ram of course gskill 16gb 2400mhz.SSD SAMSUNG ,if you take good pc you should take 120/144 hz gsync monitor .other components your choice these are important one what i said
Western digital for storage
By my experience the most faulthy HDD's are WD, consider Seagate or other if exists
Also it is good to put Operating System on some SSD drive to load faster your PC if it is with W7.
My PC which is old, E7500 CPU, but loads for less than 10 secs
So to say it simple, put 2 hdd in your PC, 128 or 256 SSD (mine is ADATA SP900 500MB r/w speed) for operating system and software you want to load fast, and 1 or 2 TB HDD for other crap
it looks fine to me just make sure, you have at least 600W PSU http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-780-ti/specifications
also it is not enough just to have SSD for OS, it must be fast like 500MB r/w speed, because you can take some other that is slow for example like 200 r/w which is still above the normal HDD but compared to 500MB r/w it is slow
r/w (Read/Write speed)

Ufff i had like 6 HD from Seagate, and all broked up i lost all the info, docs etc...total disaster when i see that brand i just run away
maybe its just we had a bad luck, you had bad luck with WD and me with Seagate...cos at the moment i have WD for about 3 years, and thx to god everything is smooth as hell
what WD u had and they broke up?
i speak by my experience like IT tech, lots of PC that come for repair suffered from bad HDD's
and most of them was WD, which is not surprising while WD where most cheap HDDs
@yeah zoom, just build it by yourself m8 cos when u do so, can easly replace the parts, upgrade, etc do u have any experience wih building up a workstation pc? in youtube there are hell lot of usefull information, guides, its pretty easy, and fun at same time u can find parts on ebay, amazon, newegg. Best is to buy from same website, so u wont spend much on shippments etc.
Thx mate i will check it out.
