Help :: NVidia GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2
Have same issue on 7600 with latest drivers so i'm using ForceWare 9x series which provides best performance for my card. Btw nvidia control panel is weak, use RivaTuner
also a thought, try the drivers the manufacturer shipped with it, I know some of my older (newer) cards as some others had said, didn't like the new drivers. the factory drivers had worked best
hallo,
remove quake3 premade settings from nvidia's cfg (if it egzist) anyways edit nvidias setings by lovering two parameters: anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing (or from anywhere u reach those sets), i say u can set easily both to off
simple...
another big fps improvement can be reached by setting up r_subdivisions to 33 (or even 0 not.recom.) at ur q3 cfg
I got this card a few days ago.....
I updated drivers to newest version......
The best (based on various 3d guru tests) driver you may have for your card is 182 series: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_182.50_whql.html Also please note about few known nvidia and non-nvidia related issues followed from previous releases: http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/182.50/182.50_WinXP_GeForce_Release_Notes.pdf
Good luck.
