[help] recording / demos
i belive other mods will work badly/not at all with e+, due to heavy change in gameplay.
so give it a try, and if you figure something out, let us know. you are entering unexplored waters
about freezing and all, q3mme has great controls.
umm depends on what u mean by compatibility. the problem with defrag, that ive experienced so far is that since defrag doesnt have custom skins, pm or xp, it converts the models in e+ into their baseq3 default cousins. so for example any bones model automatically becomes the green flourescent bones. etc etc. ofc since most demos in e+ dont have too many items in the map, u normally dont get texture bugs. (i had texture bugs when using cpm demos in defrag under certain mod-support values).
suppose mme is kinda better that way. but it would be real nice to have the next version of mme compatible with e+.
ofc, if all ur intested in is first person povs, then theres no reason y u cant use e+ itself to capture. but it would be real great to have the free-cam third person pov like in cpma as a feature for demos in the next version of e+. although the feature is restricted to a small radius from the player whos pov the demo is viewing, its still useful.

cg_thirdPerson "1"
cg_thirdPersonRange "x"
cg_thirdPersonAngle "x"
Range and Angle ... one of them is for setting how far the thirdperson camera is awy and the angle is the angle ... u can do to 360 (which is the same then 0 i guess)
base freecam is not the same as third-person. first off the third person camera fixes the position of the cam in relation to the player. wont let you do something like say have the cam stationery, without moving at all no matter what happens to the player.
also at different points in the map, the range of the cam varies, no matter what the cg_thirdpersonrange variable is set to, cos it checks for map bodies within that range, and if there is one, then it will reduce the range to adjust for that.
i know that ... i played alot of other mods and sure other mods are much more advanced in recording demos/avi/frames ect with all special kinds of cameraviews and free camera angles and arround, but i thought u are talkin about 3rd person view cause u said third person view free cam xD
ok I will try by myself, and will make you know more
